Molo Petroleum LLC Scholarship Program Guidelines

Applicants must be children or the spouse of an active full-time (30 hours or more) Molo Petroleum LLC employee. The employee must have a minimum of ONE year of employment experience with Molo Petroleum LLC.

Applicants must be either high school seniors, high school graduates or college undergraduates enrolled in or planning to enroll in full-time course of study at a recognized and accredited two-year or four-year higher education institution. Graduate, non-full time certificate programs, professional development, or continuing education programs are not eligible. Any questions on eligibility should be addressed to the Scholarship Committee (contact information is below). Scholarships will be awarded as follows:

Annual awards for four-year accredited college or university will be given in three levels:

  • Bronze -$750.00
  • Silver -$1,000.00
  • Gold -$1,500.00


Annual awards for two-year, vocational/technical college and community college programs will be given in three levels:

  • Bronze -$500.00
  • Silver -$750.00
  • Gold -$1,000.00.


Funds will be distributed via check made payable to the institution and the student.

Application:

Students must complete the application online at https://www.molocompanies.com/molo-petroleumscholarship-program/ and submit it to the HR office. Any application which is incomplete will not be considered. Applicants are solely responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information. All information submitted is confidential and will be reviewed only by the Scholarship Committee. If there are any questions regarding this process, please contact HR at 563-557-7547 x243. To be considered, applications must be received by March 1st of each year.

Recipient Selection:

Scholarship recipients are selected based on academic achievement, leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, statement of educational and career goals, contents of application and recommendation by an adult. First time applicants will be given preferential consideration. Depending on the number of applicants, all applicants may not receive awards. Scholarship Decisions will be announced by telephone or postal mail by the Scholarship Committee.

Obligations:

Scholarship recipients must enroll in their educational programs no later than fall of the year in which their awards are given. Recipients are required to provide Molo Petroleum LLC Scholarship Committee with any change of address, school enrollment or other pertinent information. Revision Policy: The general conditions and procedures under which scholarships are made are subject to periodic review by Molo Petroleum LLC, including termination of the program.
